When I last made a blog post, I didn’t think a year and a half would pass between major updates. Yet here we are. The good news is the barest of minimums have been done regarding information pages for all three Balto movies. Each movie now has a page dedicated to information about the movie, DVD/Blu-ray releases (if available), and a detailed plot summary. Pages filled with screenshots from all three movies are done behind the scenes, but I’m not completely satisfied with the pages and they’ll remain private for a while longer. (I also need to make sure my anti-hotlinking measures are effective.) When the pages go live the screenshots will be free for anyone to use.

I also thought when I started reviving The Ice Cave that I could do a straight copy-and-paste of my old work into WordPress.

Boy, was I naive.

Since a good 17 years has passed between updates, I’m not satisfied with my original work. My ability as a writer has improved and everything just needs to be reworked. That said, I’ve spent my years since graduating from college in 2008 as a journalist and critic. This is a fan site, so I need to adopt a slightly different writing style. It’s a mix between informative– much like you would find on a Wiki, and something a bit more personalized.

Updates will continue to happen behind the scenes as they have been. I look forward to the day the site is completely revamped and I can share it with you all.

On a side note: WordPress Gutenberg is decent for website building, but just awful for creating simple blog posts.
